K2 DIAMOND provides a solution for a professional cutting contractor that solves their challenge of how to drill out 10-1/4" diameter holes in solid steel grates.

A professional Arizona cutting contractor was faced with a challenge of installing metal posts into a steel grate. Each post required a hole in the middle of a steel grate to allow to allow installation.

The contractor turned to K2 who developed a diamond bit, specially designed to smoothly drill the steel grate, which was 3" tall with 1/4" thick fins and 10 1/4" in diameter. The contractor drilled 11 holes in about 20 minutes per hole, leaving the contractor and the building owners thrilled with the speed and the clean finish holes for the metal posts.
